Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy for All Programs and Courses

Students will receive a non-college degree certificate upon successful completion of the program. To receive a CDL credential, students must schedule and pass the State of Michigan CDL skills exam. U.S. Truck Driver Training School, Inc. (USTDTS) is licensed by the State of Michigan to perform the State of Michigan CDL skills exam. The program cost includes tuition, books, DOT fees, registration fees, and other fees connected with the program. The student may cancel or terminate at any time by giving notice to the institution, subject to the institution’s refund policy. The computation for a refund is based on the last date scheduled. If a student does not show up for class for three consecutive days, with no contact, the student may be terminated from the program, and the cancellation of the student’s enrollment contract may commence unless reasonable circumstances can be presented. Refunds are prorated and based on the hours scheduled. A student terminated under these circumstances may apply for readmission. A student applying for readmission must furnish a written request to the Vice President of Educational Services for consideration. Students who withdrawal after 60% of the scheduled program has elapsed are not entitled to a refund (Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries are exempt from the 60% rule).

The Method of Delivery for this program is 100% instructor guided.

  1. An applicant may cancel enrollment at any time before the commencement of class. If the applicant has prepaid their tuition, all refunds shall be returned within 60 days.
  2. An applicant rejected by the institution prior to class commencing shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid. All refunds shall be returned within 60 days.
  3. Refunds will be made within 60 days of the date of cancellation/determination or termination. Refunds will be calculated as of the last date scheduled. All Refunds are processed via ACH. It is students’ responsibility to provide their banking account information for a timely refund (within 60-day period)
  4. Special cases. In case of prolonged illness, accident with sustained injuries, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the program, the institution may make accommodations which are reasonable and fair to both parties.
  5. Students will be provided with textbooks for the program when applicable. Textbooks are non-refundable and not included in refund calculations if student termination or withdrawal occurs after the commencement of class.

After the students start class, they will be obligated for tuition payments based on the hours already scheduled.

An example refund is outlined below:

If a student begins the course on a Monday and attends Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, but decides to withdrawal from the program after the third day of training, the refund will be calculated through Friday of the scheduled week. Students who withdrawal after 60% of the program has elapsed are not entitled to a refund (Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries are exempt from the 60% rule).

To begin the withdrawal process, a student should contact the Vice President of Educational Services.

Veterans and Other Eligible Beneficiaries Refund Policy
